Tired of boring oatmeal, or want something healthier than those pre-packaged flavored packets?
Here is a great idea for an extremely healthy, very inexpensive, and absolutely delicious way to fix and serve your oatmeal . . . even your kids will love it.
Buy the old fashioned oatmeal ( the "minute oatmeal" is too processed).
Add the appropriate amount of water to 1 cup of oatmeal. Add no salt or sugar!
Cook for about two minutes or according to the directions.
Then add a standard (6 to 8 OZ.) container of your favorite yogurt.
You will need no other sweetening, and benefit from the added protein in the yogurt. Creamy and delicious! And only around 25 to 50 cents per serving!!!
Will serve 2 to 3 people!
