East Dayton Baptist Church
Everything pictured here is new in 2008. Every space shown was either grass and/or weeds prior to being planted. Creating beauty and simplifying mowing.
This space was created after I brought in 28 yards of aged horse manure from the county fairground stables at a cost of only $100 to deliver. Raking out the pile kills the grass while soil from the playground inside the fenced area was brought over and used to actually plant in.
Here on the left is my last corn planted using cardboard edge guards from pallets to help keep weeds down and direct water to plants. Photo on right shows newest corn in front and oldest in back. Large patch of tomatoes are on left and pole beans are climbing fence on right.
All tomatoe plants were grown and donated by neighbor of the church in exchange for helping him with his garden.
These three tires were removed from the playground and rolled out here for first corn planting (filled with manure and soil from playground.)
Shows second corn planting on right and watermelon planted in cups in foreground.
Cucmbers are planted along fence behind first corn at end of pole bean row. Yes, I need some weeding & mulching done.
